The Sims 4now has Infants - a fun and cute life stage between Newborns and Toddlers. The purpose of Infants is to give players more exciting gameplay with babies compared to the now Newborns who are essentially objects confined to their bassinets. Before the Infant update, babies could not be customized and only had a few interactions. Infants, on the other hand, are lively and love to explore the world around them. There are also many ways to edit their appearance and personalities.
Players can either age up a Newborn into an Infant or make one immediately in Create-A-Sim (CAS). Like the other young life stages, Infants can be added to any household with an adult. The update includes new hairs, body marks, clothes, and traits, so this guide covers all theCAS options for InfantsinThe Sims 4.
Appearance and Clothes
Hair and Body
Regarding appearance, players can customizeevery single feature of their Infant, including face, teeth, hair, and body. A newer and more inclusive addition is birthmarks on the face and body. Additionally, cute hairstyles for Infants cover a wide range of types, including wispy, thin, curly, or long. Lastly, there are new teeth that can fit every stage of teething.
Tops
Infants got a few new sets of shirts, many modeled from Toddler tops already in the base game. The shirts feature bright colors, animals, and cute designs with a more childish look.TheGrowing TogetherExpansionpack adds several more clothes in each category.
Bottoms
Same as the tops, the Infant’s bottoms are styled similarly to many of the Toddler ones. Most of them also have a matching shirt to go with the look and include jeans, shorts, and skirts. Furthermore,all bottoms are unisexand fit the frame of masculine and feminine Infants the same, so players can mix and match if they choose.
Full Body
The full-body fits for Infants range from onesies, dresses, tuxedoes, and hooded outfits. Again, some were recycled from Toddler full-body, but the Infants have cute new bear onesies and clothes that cover their hands for safety.
Accessories
Infantsdidn’t get too many accessories, but there are some adorable new headpieces, including a helmet that is common to help shape a baby’s head after birth. Infants also got leggings, socks, glasses, and shoes. Most of this is cohesive with the shirts and bottoms so players can dress their Infants for success.
Personality Traits
Infant personalities are some of the best parts of the update and helpmake each Infant feel uniqueand fleshed out. While Infants can’t have Aspirations or Likes/Dislikes, six new traits represent the different types of babies simmers would want to play with.
