Destiny 2’s Season of the Splicer has been a great addition to the game for several reasons; including its synthwave-esque theme, an alliance with the Eliksni, how fun Override is, weapons both old and new, and of course the Vault of Glass' return. This Raid was one of the most popular Raids inDestiny, and it is now making a comeback toDestiny 2thanks to the Vex-themed Season, including the legendaryExotic fusion rifle called Vex Mythoclast. This gun is unique, as it is a primary fusion rifle, and it was also extremely potent and sought after in the first game, marking its return toDestiny 2a big event.
Still, in order to obtain this gun, players will likely be required to complete the Vault of Glass again, but this time inDestiny 2. A lot has changed between the first and the second game ofDestiny, meaning while a lot of elements from the first title were re-introduced inDestiny 2, the meta for Raids and other content has changed drastically. Guardians inDestiny 2are sensibly more powerful than they ever were inDestiny, and plenty of quality of life updates have shifted the meta towards something else entirely. As such, which loadouts are the best to use for the return of Vault of Glass, assuming it remains fundamentally the same as that ofDestiny?

Best Destiny 2 Mods to Take to Vault of Glass on Release
IfDestiny 2’s version of theVault of Glass Raidstays the same in terms of encounters, then it’s safe to assume that it will be heavily focused on dealing with regular enemies mainly, and then a few bosses, including Atheon. With this in mind, Guardians should focus their loadouts on having a few tools of mass destruction and some degree of crowd control, which means that Warmind Cells will be great in the Raid to clear adds as fast and efficiently as possible.
The best mods to generate Warmind Cells and make them very effective are the following:
Grenade launchers are also seeing more use now, thanks to another seasonal mod that helps immensely with boss DPS. For grenade launchers the mods to use are these:
As for more defensive mods to use to survive all the enemy adds in the Vault of Glass Raid, players should look at the following combination:
While armor pieces also have other stats that are important and do have an impact on Guardians' performance in Raids, most of the time the biggest role is played by guns, mods, and subclasses. ForVault of Glassspecifically, it would be beneficial to have decent Resilience, Recovery, and Discipline; because of the amount of damage taken by enemies, how fast health goes up while damaged, and the AoE capabilities of grenades, respectively. Mobility will help too, especially in the Maze section, if it carries over inDestiny 2.

Best Destiny 2 Weapons to Carry into Vault of Glass on Release
Weapons are a tricky subject, but there are a few loadouts that can perform better than others. Keep in mind that these loadouts can and should change in between encounters, because at times some will be much better than others, like how Shotguns will be king in part one of the Raid. These are among the primary weapons Guardians are most likely to find helpful:
The following energy weapons can be useful:
These, instead, are the best power weapons to carry:
As for class-specific tips, refer to these, keeping in mind that the Hunters' Star-Eater Scales have been disabled during the race:
Good luck to all Guardians facing the Vault of Glass when it releases tomorrow, hoping they have fun with optimizing builds and loadouts.
