Summary
As the Penacony story comes to a close,Honkai: Star RailVersion 2.3 ties up some loose ends before the Astral Express Crew embarks on their next journey. Penacony is one of the most complex stories inHonkai: Star Railso far, surprising many fans with its twists and allowing them to feel a lot of emotions for the characters involved.
The first phase ofHonkai: Star RailVersion 2.3 is about to end, so fans can expect more new content once the next update rolls out on July 10. This includes a new 5-star character and rerun character, as well as events tofarm Stellar Jadesand upgrade materials.

New 5-Star Character in Honkai: Star Rail
Honkai: Star Rail’s next 5-star character is Jade, a Quantum-type character following the Path of Erudition. She is a senior manager in the IPC Strategic Investment Department and one of the Ten Stonehearts along with Topaz and Aventurine.
Combat-wise, Jade primarily deals AoE damage and has a follow-up attack to reduce enemies' HP further. She also has a special ability called Debt Collector that increases allies' SPD and allows them to deal additional Quantum damage to enemies at the cost of some HP. AlthoughHonkai: Star Railis leaning towards the Break Damage meta thanks to the Harmony Trailblazer, it will be interesting to seehow Jade would possibly shake up the meta.

5-Star Rerun Character
The rerun character for this phase is Argenti, the 5-star Physical-type Erudition character who debuted back inHonkai: Star RailVersion 1.5. He is a Knight of Beauty who follows the Aeon Idrila, who has the ability to amp up his Ultimate ability to deal a significant amount of AoE damage. This rerun is the perfect opportunity for fans to either pull their first Argenti orincrease their existing Argenti’s Eidolon level.
New Light Cones
The second half of Version 2.3 will debut new sets of Light Cones that will complement the Warp banner characters and help improve the skills of existing characters. Jade’s signature 5-star Light Cone is “Yet Hope Is Priceless,” which increases the CRIT DMG of Erudition units. Meanwhile, the new 4-star Erudition Light Cone, “After the Charmony Fall,” can increase Break Effect and SPD.
Game Modes and Limited-Time Events
Honkai: Star RailVersion 2.3 will update the stages of Pure Fiction and the Memory of Chaos. The former’s new stage, “Out of Thin Air,” will run from July 8 to July 19, and will highlight follow-up attacks. Meanwhile, Memory of Chaos will launch “Dissipation of Dreams,” a brand-new set of challenges to farm Stellar Jades.
Likewise, this phase will highlight the limited-time event “Stellar Shimmer,” which will run from July 5 to July 29. This is a follow-up to the previous event “Stellar Flare,” where players will be challenged to beat as many enemy waves as possible to get rewards. Other Version 2.3 events, like Origami Bird Clash and the opportunity to claim a free Xueyi inApocalyptic Shadow, are still available during the second phase. All these events reward players with Stellar Jades and other materials that will be useful for pulling characters and upgrading them.
