Recently,World of Warcraftannounced some big changes coming to Dragonridingin the near future. The first of these changes is coming inWorld of WarcraftPatch 10.2.5, Seeds of Renewal, which adds this flying style to the rest of the world.
That said, there is one limitationWorld of Warcraftplayers should be aware of before the patch comes out. According to theWoWPatch 10.2.5 PTR notes, Dragonriding outside the Dragon Isles is limited to 80% of its normal speed limit. This has been done primarily to avoid trivializing travel, as old world zones tend to be smaller than those on the Dragon Isles. While this might seem like a significant nerf, players such as boskee who have tested old world Dragonriding on the PTR can barely tell the difference.
