With Patch 10.1.5’s release,World of Warcrafthas made a hopeful epilogue for the Human Heritage quest. Though players saved the day during the quest itself, they were dismayed to see little done on screen to alleviate the class disparity that caused the problem in the first place. However, new lines of dialogue haveseveral majorWoWNPCsfrom Westfall and the Heritage quest working together to create the Breadbasket Guild–an officially-sanctioned organization seeking to enact the change that spawned the Defias in the first place.World of Warcraftfan and lore expert Portergauge shared screenshots of the new dialogue on his personal Twitter.

This new guild is backed by Cecilia Clessington–the daughter of the corrupt noble in the Heritage quest. Clessington has taken her father’s place in the House of Nobles and is using her privilege to make lasting change in Stormwind’s political climate by finding like-minded allies. By hoping to establish a House of the People,World of Warcraft’s kingdom of Stormwindis taking the first steps towards becoming a democracy.

Meanwhile, Vanessa VanCleef is using her connections as the former Defias leader to support and protect the Breadbasket Guild from the shadows. From the way things are being set up, it seems likeWorld of Warcraftintends to continue this storylinein the future. For the first time since VanillaWoW, Stormwind is finally being given the chance to heal from the damage done by Onyxia.

Fans were as impressed as they were surprised by this new epilogueWorld of Warcraftadded in the last patch. The Human Heritage quest was not bad, but it paled in comparison to the Orc’s counterpart that was released in the same patch. While players had nothing butpraise forWoW’s Orc Heritage quest, many were disappointed by the Human one, and had criticisms on how it refused to commit to making lasting change happen for the troubled kingdom. Now thatWorld of Warcrafthas taken some of this criticism to heart, players are excited to see where this particular storyline goes in the future.
