World of Warcrafthas finally revealed the release date forDragonflight. Players can take to the skies and explore what the newWorld of Warcraftexpansion has to offer on November 28th, 2022.

DragonflighttakesWorld of Warcraftplayers to the storied Dragon Isles–the ancestral homeland of dragonkind.World of Warcraft’s ninth expansion pack includes five new zones, 10 new levels, and a new race-class combo: the dracthyr Evoker. The exploration-based expansion adds tons of new content and systems, including revamped talent trees and the dynamic Dragonriding flying mounts.

With this announcement, it seems Blizzard is committed to making its 2022 release withWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflight. TheNovember 28th release date coincides with a Blizzard leak, which stated the pre-patch and launch dates for several games, includingWrath of the Lich King ClassicandDragonflight. If the rest of the leak is correct, players can expect theDragonflightPre-Patch to begin on October 25th. With a month before release, this pre-patch period would be in line with typicalWorld of Warcraftreleases.

TheWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflightbeta is currently ongoing, and will likely continue until closer to the expansion’s launch. As it nears, more ofDragonflight’scontent will make its way to the Public Test Realm, giving players the chance to experience its content early. Additionally,World of Warcraftannounced the Winds of Wisdom experience buff would be returning on October 4th, and running until theDragonflightPre-Patch. Players can expect this 50% experience boost to be available for approximately three weeks.

Players are buzzing over the official release date forDragonflight. Blizzard’s reluctance about pinning down a solid date made some players worry it might delayDragonflightuntil 2023. It seems these players can rest easy knowing the new expansion is less than two months away from its official launch.Details from theDragonflightbeta have been largely positive, and players have high hopes for the newWorld of Warcraftrelease.

However, there are plenty of players worriedDragonflightstill won’t be ready for the November launch. The expansion was first announced early this year, leading many to fearWorld of Warcraftmay release an unfinished product. That said,World of Warcraft’s development team has stated it hasbeen working onDragonflightconcurrently withShadowlandsfor years, and that the game has had a full development cycle.
