Xbox Game Passhas confirmed its “wave 2” of games coming in October 2023, most of which have been previously revealed. However, there are two new games on the list, and one of them is thewell-reviewedDead Spaceremake. It will be available on Xbox Game Pass (via EA Play) on October 26, arriving just in time for Halloween.

The Dead Spaceremake was applauded by fans and critics alike earlier this year, which isn’t an easy feat given some serious tweaks were made to the beloved, original game. Still, it earned “Mighty” reviews on aggregate site OpenCritic, with the Top Critic Average being 89 and 97% of critics recommending the title. And now fans who skipped out on it earlier this year will get to check it out at thecost of their Game Pass subscription service, with it worth noting that the game will be available via the Cloud, on PC Game Pass, and on the Xbox Series X/S.

The other new Xbox Game Pass title alongsideDead SpaceisF1 Manager 2023, which came out even more recently thanDead Space. This sports management and racing game launched in August, featuring all 23 tracks of the season. Although different in many ways, it’s definitely a peculiar addition to come so close afterForza Motorsport’s release on Xbox Game Pass.

No matter what, it’s clearly a strong ending to October, withDead Spaceacting as the headlining title. The fact that it comes so close to Halloween is definitely intentional and is the icing on the cake. Of course, Xbox Game Pass isn’t one to rest on its laurels, with more to come in November.PlateUp!, Thirsty Suitors, Football Manager 2024, Dungeons 4, Like a Dragon Gaiden, andPersona 5 Tacticaare all coming to Xbox Game Passin November, with more likely to be confirmed as the month comes ever closer.

Of course, some games have to leave to make room for more. On October 31,Xbox Game Passis losing five games:Gunfire Reborn, Kill It with Fire, Persona 5 Royal, Signalis, andSolasta Crown of the Magister.
