GTA Onlinehas been consistently updated since its release.This has kept players entertained with unique items that can only be gained during holiday events. It’s a yearly tradition for the streets of Los Santos to be covered in snow during the winter holiday season.
This year, you can take part in the hunt for a mythical yeti creature hidden in the mountains north of the city. Doing so will reward players with cash and a goofy Yeti costume. As with allGTA Onlineholiday season events, time is limited to participate in this fun side mission. All holiday content will disappear after June 13, 2025, so get out and hunt the beast as soon as you can before the streets of Los Santos areno longer white with snow.
Begin the Yeti Hunt
You need to drive north betweenFort Zancudo and Paleto Bay to trigger the Yeti Hunt.The player character willreceive a text from Tanner telling them about a strange beast lurking in the woods. This will put down a question mark marker and a circle on the map surrounding the Raton Canyon area. Here is where you need to begin your search for the Yeti.
Clue Locations
To find this Yeti, you will need to hunt downfive separate cluesin the vicinity of Raton Canyon.The red X’s on this map will guide you to each one.When the player character is close to one, there will be the sound of a heartbeat. Thisheartbeat will get louder and the controller will vibrateas you draw nearer to each clue. Press right on the D-pad to investigate them when found. Every clue will also give you $10,000 as a reward for finding it. The clues that need to be found are as follows.
The deer carcass canbe found at the farthest western X on the map. Get out of your vehicle and swim across or drop to the northern side of the river to find it.
Head directly east from the dear to the next X to find these body parts nestled under a fallen tree.
The bloody shirt is located at the X to the northeast, just off the road. It can be difficult to see at night as it blends into the snow-covered ground. Keep an eye out for the abandoned car that is nearby.
Head to the southeastern X to find the wrecked car. The upturned vehicle will be easy to spot off to the side of the road under a bridge.
The tent is located at the northwestern X close to where you can get back on the freeway. Head off the road between the two paths to find the sleeping bag and tent with a view of the bridge in the distance.
Defeat the Yeti
Once all the clues have been investigated, it’s time to deal with the Yeti. He will attack you inthe Raton Canyon search areabetween 21:00 and 6:00 in-game time.The game will warn you that he’s arrived and will show up as a red target on the map. Make sure to bring heavy weaponry such as explosives or a chaingun to quickly dispatch the beast. If the Yeti gets close, it can quickly kill you with a few swipes. Return to one of the clues at the previously mentioned time to try again if you fail.
Defeating the Yeti will reward you with $50,000 and the Yeti Oufit.Go to any Apartment wardrobeand select it from the Outfits: Festive section to wear it.
